Long-staple cotton is named for its longer fiber, also known as sea-island cotton, which is a kind of cultivated cotton species and is a genus of cotton. Long-staple cotton has a long growing period and requires a large amount of heat. Under the same conditions of heat, the growth period of long-staple cotton is 10-15 days longer than that of upland cotton.
International main producing areas:
Mainly Egypt, Sudan, the former Soviet Union, the United States, Morocco, etc.

Features:
Long-staple cotton is of good quality, its fibers are soft and long, generally 33 to 39 mm and up to 64 mm long; fineness is 7,000 to 8500 m/g, width is 15 to 16 micron; strength is high, 4 to 5 g Force/root, fracture length 33 to 40 km; transition more, 80 to 120/cm.
There are some hybrids that use sea-island cotton as a male parent and land cotton as a female parent. The fibers are longer, but the fineness and strength do not meet the index of sea-island cotton, commonly known as land-based long-staple cotton.
classification:
Extra Long Cashmere: The length of the fiber is 35mm or more.
Medium long-staple cotton: The fiber length is 33-35 mm.
